Russel Perera, the Managing Director and founder of Russel’s Private Limited, stands as a testament to entrepreneurial spirit and passion for tea. His journey in the tea industry began in 1988 with humble beginnings, providing a tea service to a reputed bank. This initial venture marked the inception of what would become the pioneering tea service in Sri Lanka, laying the foundation for the Russel’s Group of Companies.
With an unwavering dedication to excellence and a deep passion for tea, Russel has amassed 35 years of invaluable experience in the industry. His vision and innovative approach have been instrumental in transforming the company from a single tea service into a renowned group of companies. Jehan Perera is the Director of Strategy, renowned for his innovative approach and strategic acumen. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and an MBA in Marketing, providing a solid foundation for his strategic insights and business expertise. Complementing his academic credentials, Jehan has also pursued studies with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), enhancing his financial acumen and strategic decision-making skills. With 11 years of corporate experience, he has consistently demonstrated an ability to navigate complex business landscapes and drive sustainable growth.
Jehan’s role as an innovator and strategist is underscored by his commitment to pushing the boundaries of conventional business practices. His forward-thinking mindset and ability to anticipate market trends enable Russel’s to stay ahead of the competition and capitalize on emerging opportunities. In addition to his strategic expertise, Jehan is also a certified tea taster, having earned a Diploma in Tea Tasting & Technology. This unique qualification allows him to combine his strategic skills with a deep understanding of the tea industry, contributing to product development and quality assurance. Director Operations
Rashane Perera serves as the Director of Operations at Russel’s, bringing a rich blend of professional acumen and personal passions to the role. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Wales and currently pursuing an MBA, Rashane exemplifies a commitment to continuous learning and excellence in business leadership. His 12 years of extensive corporate experience have honed his skills in operational efficiency and strategic planning, making him an invaluable asset to our company.
