At Russel’s Wellness, ethical sourcing means buying responsibly, tracing what we buy, and caring for the people and places behind every cup. We purchase our base teas through Sri Lanka’s national auction system, a transparent marketplace regulated by industry authorities. For every batch we pack, we maintain internal lot records that link the auction lot, factory or estate, and broker. While commercial invoices are not displayed publicly, this lot-level documentation helps us uphold accountability from purchase to finished pack.

Within the auction, we follow a simple preference: choose partners who demonstrate strong food-safety and environmental practices and a consistent record of quality. We complement this with periodic third-party testing and quality checks, and we keep those results on file as part of our continuous improvement approach. For our Ayurvedic and Ancestral blends, we work with vetted herbal suppliers and community partners, prioritizing careful harvesting and respectful use of traditional knowledge.

We are also committed to lighter-footprint packaging. Our cartons are recyclable, inks and adhesives are chosen with safety in mind, and we’re actively reducing avoidable plastics where feasible. As we grow, we will continue strengthening supplier engagement, expanding verification, and sharing more about our progress.
